christmas post-production:

the tree is still up. it remains until it decides to leave.

i no longer listen to christmas music.

presents from family were received before christmas. our presents are still waiting to be shipped to illinois.

logan has the most presents out of anyone. we liked spoiling him. it's crazy to think it was his last christmas 'by himself.'

this year's wrapping paper was black with cartoon santa faces. i have never enjoyed wrapping paper so much.

our christmas cards are late. we mailed 3/4 on saturday and the rest will be sent tomorrow. i began with our red cap card, then bought a couple of boxes of cards at work, followed by another box from work.

there were 79 cards total. we kept thinking of more and more people we wanted to send a card to.

hubby figured out the photo collage and you can thank him when you receive yours in your belated christmas card that will be 1 of 3 designs: warm weather couple, 3-D bird and branches, reindeer with a ribbon scarf. (oh! the suspense!)

we received and used a gift certificate (even though robert downy jr. hates gift cards, i LOVE them) for walmart and came away with:

• socks for the both of us
• book clip light
• shipping envelope
• thank you cards
• knife sharpener
• a pair of jeans for dan (which brings his total jean inventory to 2 pairs)
• a neat little electronic gadget that i can't talk about yet

we still have more certificates left to play with and their results we be posted as well.

hubby found me magical slippers that can be warmed in the microwave. i call them footies. i have my footies on right now while i'm sitting at the computer.

hobbes and rocco scored new toys from grandma herzing (a.k.a. santa). rocco got a hard core fire hose and it is such a success i provided a link so that you can buy one for your dog, too. (rocco likes to chew and fetch. if your dog does not, this is not the toy for him/her.) hobbes got a feather boa on a stick that has become the best thing that ever happened to him since he first ate food.
