december second o'nine

today i am returning to the blog world with a glass of pinot noir and much longer hair than i had before. i did not get extensions; it grew.

explanations, of things.

all of our big decisions took place in three days in october. this was after we had to buy a new car. house off the market, dan staying at his job, no move, new roommate.

goodness. :::...>yes, firmly planted in oregon. after our buyer backed out, the condo refused to entice others. we had no choice but to drop our price painfully--significantly--shockingly low, or put the plans on hold and wait for a better, balmier market. if our time line had gone accordingly, we would have departed yesterday, december 1st, for a cheap motel in idaho falls. instead, we lounged on the couch with hobbes and rocco and read while listening to christmas music. yes, peaceful.

well then, :::...>we have a roommate and her name is terrah. it is simple how it happened, really. we met at work. she needed a place to live while studying for the next six months to be a massage therapist. we were suddenly in a position to help her out and could use some extra cash ((after i had superfluously spilled our moving pennies on new furniture and pretty things)). i think we're all doing well at adjusting to each other, and the greatest success has been acquainting hobbes and rocco to her cat, gus gus.
