livin' large in the herzing household!
- hello toulouse! dan and i only briefly mourned the loss of our most recent computer (scrapped together mostly by willamette landscape's leftovers) before purchasing our fancy new laptop. oh my gosh, he is so beautiful and fancy! we can't stop playing with him. in addition, dan got a wireless router AND spoiled me with a new printer (sleek and white with A SCANNER!) we have always had borrowed or second-hand computers and printers, so this is HUGE for us. between henrietta and toulouse, we feel like millionaires with our luxury goods.
- remember our roommate? terrah? the one who is studying massage therapy? yeah, well, she practices on me. that's right. i've got a live in masseuse. for free.
- the living room is completely re-furnished and near complete. i really want to share photos but our place isn't very well lit. so i have to figure that out. in the meantime, a few of our new pieces include: our tivoli sofa from work, a desk, bookcase, and entertainment center from the leksvik series and valby ruta rug from ikea, as well as two paintings i nabbed on clearance from work. the best thing about the entertainment center is that it is short and long, so our record player is now accessible for those of us under 6'. my dream has come true! we also got a banana leaf storage trunk from target that serves as a makeshift coffee table. the best part is the storage, which we use for dvds, throws, games, and remotes. at this point, all i have left to do is put photos in frames and replace our curtains and annoying, saggy wire rod holding them up. not that this information is super exciting, but for me it is wonderful to have a room that is comfortable and coordinating. i feel like such an adult having graduated from an empty room with mismatched stuff.
keeping busy in the herzing household!
