i have emerged from my depression.
working at cost plus is great but there are too many things i'd like to buy with my paycheck.
we counter-offered the buyer on our condo and they accepted. we close in 30 days. we need to get boxes and start packing, find an apartment for the four months before we move. we're thinking multnomah village, a neighborhood we always wanted to live in.
blake has pop-eye. we've replaced his water and his heater, as well as added the proper drops of fish-related fluid. his appetite is fine and he's over-friendly, coming to kiss me all the time and flittering around like he's something special. but the right eye is still swollen. not sure what else to do.
i tried out hollywood video's premium membership; $25/month for rentals, 3 out at a time and no due dates. apparently, you get 25 points a month and i blew through 21 points in 5 days. i rented gilmore girls season 5 (six discs @ two points each=12), confessions of a shopaholic, hounddog, and ha-sodot (three points each=9). i suspect we will cancel and continue to use netflix.
i have a serious addiction to gilmore girls. i'm starting the 6th season, and let me tell you: the cliffhanger at the end of the 5th season was HUGE. HUGE!
logan is growing like a weed and has taken readily to pools of water. so much so that my parents took out the trampoline they installed when i was ten (of which my dad dug a pit below so that it was level with the patio deck) to construct a groovy pool. i keep saying, logan better get a lot of use out of it this summer because next summer, dan and i are going to take up a lot of space in that thing.
we are currently obsessed with the food network: chopped, dinner impossible, food detectives, iron chef america, and the best thing i ever ate.
