My sweet boy. He forgives so easily! |
I thought I would be a rock star and kick off the weekend by locking my keys and phone in the car WITH Raine.
OMG.
Luckily my neighbor was home and let me use my phone to call Dan, who was too far away to get there fast but he called Gayle, and she came with her spare key to the house so that I could get in and get Dan's car keys.
Raine was fine and not hurt, just annoyed after the first couple rounds of peekaboo. He started crying only 5 minutes before Gayle arrived.
Still. 5 solid minutes of your baby crying and you can not touch him or help him other than by staring through a window and trying to be assuring with a big "It's OK, mommy's here" smile...It wasn't fun.
Many thanks to the three moms (two neighbors and my babysitter) who assured me that it happened to them too!
:p Happy Friday everyone!

Awesome.
Well, I have to say that of all the panicked phone calls a Dad is likely to receive, ones that start with "the child is strapped into a protective vessel" are the best. THE BEST.
Now when we leave H in the car alone we wonder if it's better locked or unlocked. Meh; either.
I heard at one point children don't form permanent memories until the age of three. I took such comfort in that I never researched if it was true. Positive it is tho'!!!
That us a good point, Darren. I will remember it the next time that happens. I hope it won't but I kind of know it will. Ha!
